Are you guys fucking insane?! OVERHYPED? 'At least it prompted me to finally phone home.'
What the hell... Have you no respect or shame for treating the sufferers of this incident like that? Regardless of whatever has been said, on that day a lot of innocent people lost their lives. You shouldn't compare it to other bombings as if those people were mere statistics. For every one life that has been lost, another score of lives have been scarred with the memories of that incident, friends and families will never see their loved ones again. Tell me how you'd feel if one of your friends had been in that blast, would you be so easy to mouth off like that? How can you use a term like 'overhyped' to descrive the largest mass murder London has seen in the modern day and age, as if it's not a big deal? You people make me sick... Show some compassion for christ sake. =|

Of course, death happens. I'm not trying to be holier than thou or anything. It's just the way you conveyed your point that I found pretty shocking. It's like you're saying "Well it wasn't as big a deal as other said bombing". Any attack is a big deal, people died needlessly as a result of hatred of a minority of extremists, and it was in cold blood without resent for their actions. It just seemed quite thoughtless of you to brush it off as if it was a small deal.

Life does go on, but spare a thought for those poor people that died and the hundreds more that were affected by the death of their friend, loved one, or coworker, that have to now deal with that on a daily basis.

"Any attack is a big deal," - Mr Anonymous

"So one has to ask the question - where is the outpouring of mass sympathy for the people of Iraq? This sort of thing happens on a daily basis in Iraq - thirty Iraqis can be slain by a car bomb and it often doesn't make the news." - Matt Good

I RULE! Even if I did pike that Matt Good quote from one of Rob m8's comments;)

Iraq is not this close to home, and the bombings like that have come to be expected because of the high concentration of Muslims (and therefore Extremists) living in that country (kind of like the IRA in N Ire). There aren't known terrorist groups wreaking havoc in Britain to that kind of extent, not massively widespread at least. It's also likely easier to infiltrate potential bombing sites in Iraq. People don't expect this sort of thing to happen in London, and for no just cause, it was entirely unprovoked. Obviously the country where it happens is going to have stronger feelings for the attacks than any others, and people will not show as much sympathy if it isn't as close to home as it has been.

Nobody said it was right for it to happen. It just does happen much more frequently.

That was a pretty poor argument sir, trying to twist other people's words into justifying the way you spoke of the disaster. For shame. I know these bad things happen, I know it's wrong wherever it happens, but of course it happens all over the world all the time, it just comes as a surprise to have happened in a place like London. I'm sure if you look back you'll see I never once said it was right for people to do that. Unless you have a decent, backed up, well justified comment to make about the situation, feel free not to reply.

If you believe what you say so strongly why not show your name. If you don't know us it makes no difference, and if you do you shouldnt have to hide.

"Iraq is not this close to home"

9/11 I was in the UK.

7/7 I was in the US.

It feels equally distant, retard.
